  • 1. If my Australian Shepherd was a romance trope, it would be touch her and die. He’s a sweetheart, as long as you’re not a door-to-door salesman trying to convince me I need ‘free’ solar panels. 

  • 2. Getting people on the same page is my superpower. Working with me is one of the best ways to make sure the story in your head is the same one readers see.

  • 3. I’m a multi-published author.  I wrote and published two sweet holiday romance novellas under the pen name Lynn Larkin. They started out as decoys because I didn’t want my grandma or coworkers reading the one with spice. (I don’t recommend this strategy — the ‘real’ book is still in revision.)

  • 4. I hate small talk. Much like I avoid surface-level conversation, I don’t put out fluffy content. There’s too much of that on the internet already. (And it keeps multiplying, thanks to AI.) Luckily, my learner soul loves to dive deep into a topic, then share what I’ve learned with you via blogs, courses, case studies, and checklists.

  • 5. I played polo at Michigan State University - on a horse, not in the water. I give the same advice to writers and aspiring polo players: If you want to get better fast, practice in front of someone who’s trained to break down your story (or swing), so that you know exactly what you’re doing right, and where you need to focus.
